Online Learning PE/Health

UES PE:

As we continue to develop our jump rope skills for fitness activities, it is important that you perform the following activities:

  • At home, please find something that can be used as a jump rope. This can be an actual jump rope, any other type of rope, a long piece of cloth, or even a hoop. You could also use this day as an opportunity to get your very own jump rope if you do not have one 🙂
  • Set a timer for 45 seconds and jump on the balls of both feet. You can jump once or twice between each turn of the rope.
  • Next, for 45 seconds, jump while alternating feet. For instance, once you jump over the rope with your right foot, you will jump over with your left foot and so forth.
  • Next, attempt to perform the criss-cross jump in which you cross your arms in front of you as the rope goes over your head. Once the rope crosses over your head again, uncross the rope so that you are back in the original position. Just like last we did in class.
