Student Services

Counseling, Learning Support, and ESOL.

Lincoln School welcomes students from many cultures and our learning environment is enriched by their diversity of interests, experiences, and languages, as well as their different learning perspectives, styles and aptitudes.

Lincoln’s Student Support Program is comprised of Counseling, Learning Support, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). It provides a dynamic range of integrated student services that address our students’ social, emotional, academic, and language development needs. The program works to ensure all Lincoln students have access to a stimulating academic experience, can engage in meaningful self-reflection, understand themselves as learners and as people, and embrace their roles as responsible and compassionate members of a global society.

Lincoln School believes children learn at different rates and in different ways. Personalized learning for all children guides our beliefs and the work of our student services team. Our student services team provides support to students, teachers, and families to ensure that every child’s experience at Lincoln is meaningful for them.

In elementary school, the Student Support team uses an array of different strategies to meet the unique needs of individual learners. We believe in the Least Restrictive Environment model (LRE) while also realizing that may look different from student to student.

The Student Support team applies various models of support that include but are not limited to, co-teaching, push-in support, pull-out support, and after school tutoring. The team works together to decide which model will best serve the individual student.
