Faculty Spotlight: Ms. Michele Nelson

Michele Nelson is in her second year teaching at Lincoln, but her first impressions still stand. “Happy students and a beautiful campus!” she shared. After teaching K-12 Art & Design for more than 20 years in North Carolina, USA, Michele fulfilled her dream of teaching abroad and moved to Nepal. “I love that I get to teach children from so many different cultures,” she said. “They bring their ideas and experiences from all over the world, and I get to experience the art and culture of Nepal myself.” Michele continues to explore Nepali culture and she is inspired in her classroom every day. “I get inspired when I see a child’s face light up when they finally learn or understand something, or just when they are joyfully engaged in creating things.” We are happy to have Michele joyfully creating with our students at Lincoln!
