Senior Spotlight – Samya

Having joined the school in 2020, Samya has made the most of her time at Lincoln and has left an indelible mark on the community. Throughout her journey, Samya has created cherished memories, like dancing alongside Yangchin and performing songs in various Tiny Stage events. The joy of expressing herself through dance and music has been a source of inspiration and happiness for Samya. Additionally, the SAISA experiences, both in Oman and in Kathmandu, hold a special place in her heart, as they allowed her to form incredible bonds with people she will miss. If Samya were to choose an animal that best represents her, she would be a gorilla. Their strength and majestic presence resonate with her character, while their intelligence, ability to form emotional bonds, and use of tools reflect Samya’s own qualities. Looking towards the future, Samya eagerly anticipates her college journey and the opportunity to build something of her own. Her advice to younger students is a reflection of her own path: “Follow your heart and work hard in whatever you do. There’s no one that can stop you from chasing a life you envision. Be confident and love yourself.” Lastly, Samya expresses deep gratitude to her family, friends, and mentors for their unwavering support throughout her educational journey. Lincoln commends Samya’s achievements, her compassionate spirit, and her unwavering commitment to personal growth.
