Grade 10 Builds Community During Service Nepal

The focus of Grade 10 Service Nepal was to build a house with earthbags for a family in need in the Dhading District. The students learned how to sew and fill earthbags and use them to build the structure of a house. It was hot and fulfilling work each morning, and the students returned to camp every afternoon for a wonderful meal and workshops provided by our service partner. Some of the standout activities were learning how to make momos, and a sound healing workshop. The students were also grateful for the time they got to spend with each other while playing games and participating in workshops; building stronger relationships and including local village families in the fun. Overall, the week was uplifting and inspiring, and the students can’t wait to see what the finished house looks like!
