Hands to Work, Hearts in Community
The 10th graders had a wonderful Service Nepal, creating connections and working hard while answering their essential question: “How can we engage in service that fosters mutual respect, empowers communities, and promotes ethical, sustainable impact?”
They showed great teamwork and spirit on the worksite, promoting ethical and sustainable techniques by building an earthbag home! They also built long-lasting connections by planting trees and hosting a volleyball game at a local school. Back at camp, they enjoyed a wide array of workshops, including tie-dyeing shirts, playing multiple team-building games, and participating in a sound-healing session. In the end, they fostered a mutual respect with the local community through games and dance.
Overall, this Service Nepal Trip was enjoyable and educational, leaving a strong impact on the students.
