AUSTSWIM Training for Lincoln Staff and Students!

Last weekend, 14 Lincoln School students and staff participated in a 16-hour AUSTSWIM training – Australia’s national organization for the teaching of swimming and water safety – on their road to becoming certified AUSTSWIM teachers. The enthusiastic learning during the course was a testament to the professionalism of our staff in ensuring that we provide a world-class swimming and water safety program at Lincoln School. We were also excited to have some of our older students join the program. Go Snow Leopards!

Double Olympic Gold Medalist Leads Lincoln Swim Camp!

It was an absolute pleasure and privilege hosting double Olympic gold medalist, Penny Heyns, at Lincoln School last week. It was a fantastic learning experience for our swimmers and coaches. Each day, Penny Heyns would focus on one of the four competitive stokes, before leading an intense training session for our swimmers. While this was appreciated greatly, of arguably even more significance were the quality of her sports psychology classroom sessions that focused on mental toughness and many of the character traits that help us to become successful in life. Thank you, Penny Heyns, for sharing your expertise with our students and staff!

The speeches were quality, the food delicious, and a wonderful evening was had by all. Congratulations to the Class of 2019 and their proud families!

The High School Prom was a smashing success as over 75% of the high school student-body attended. The students were moving and grooving all through the night as the DJ kept the records playing. Snow Leopard prints were all over the dance floor!

Class of 2026 is Moving On Up!

This Tuesday, the grade five students and their families got together for the highly anticipated grade five moving up celebration.  The students flexed their memoir writing and presentation skills as they looked back on the year and spoke about lessons learned.  The audience was then treated to a video from the overnight field trip the students went on earlier this month.  As has been the case for the past couple of years, the students and their families then took part in a “Guess the Baby” game.  There were more than a couple “Awwwws” and plenty of laughter as the school year comes to an end in grade five.

Thanks to all those who came to celebrate with us!
