Advisory

The advisory program at Lincoln School is a component of the comprehensive model of school counseling that is designed to support the many and changing needs of our student body by encouraging meaningful reflection and self-knowledge, and emphasizing personal, social and global responsibility.

The advisory program is both preventative as well as responsive, with Advisors assuming an advocacy approach, ensuring that all students will be heard and supported in meeting their social, personal, academic, and career goals. The Advisory program is structured around key strands that are developmentally appropriate and sequentially planned through a collaborative model involving the Advisory coordinator, school leadership and grade level advisory teams. The program is designed around Lincoln Schools Mission and Core Values, and allows for the academic curriculum to be supplemented with a focus on the development of the whole-child in a specific and targeted way so as to best support the development of social emotional skills, international mindedness, and the academic learning of the students.
